Travel eSIM's have been around for a while now and it's one of the largest industries that is obtaining significant VC investment. But whilst this is rapidly becoming a very competitive market, and likely a race to the bottom in terms of commercials, there is a very specific niche within this market that I shall be addressing.
The current eSIM market has a couple of annoying nuances that limit the customer benefits for no logical reason. Customers who purchase eSIM's are required to pay up front for a limited amount of data, usually specific to a location or region, and to then use it all within a set period of time. After that, they are required to top-up again.
I plan to launch a simple eSIM service for the professional or frequent traveller, that will allow them to purchase an amount of data that can be used anywhere in the world and without any time restrictions on when they use it.
Estimated launch is Q1 2025.
As part of the professional eSIM service, I plan to create a loyalty program to enhance the travel experience. I am currently engaging with (and seeking) travel industry partners who would be willing to be part of this concierge type service.
Hotels, airlines, Car hire, lounge access etc... Anything that would add benefit to the frequent traveller.
The objective is to create a service that encourages loyalty whilst at the same time, minimising the need to continuously download or top up new eSIM's depending upon when and where you are travelling.
